MEAN WELL Recognized Again in Corporate Carbon Thermometer for 1.484°C Emissions Control Achievement, Advancing Toward a Net-Zero Future

The “Corporate Carbon Thermometer”platform, jointly developed by CommonWealth Magazine and Tunghai University, is one of Taiwan's few science-based mechanisms for evaluating whether companies are aligned with the 1.5°C climate target. In 2026, more than 2,000 companies participated in the assessment, and 601 companies were recognized as meeting the 1.5°C temperature range. MEAN WELL ranked 127th, with a carbon temperature result of 1.484°C, indicating that its decarbonization pathway is aligned with the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C target and validated through a scientific methodology.

In 2026, MEAN WELL continued to advance key sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives. The Taiwan headquarters officially obtained the U.S. LEED Gold certification, showcasing its achievements in green building and sustainable operations. At the same time, the company successfully established a supply chain SCM carbon inventory platform, leading 128 suppliers to initiate carbon accounting and data disclosure, further enhancing value-chain transparency and decarbonization collaboration. In addition, MEAN WELL partnered with ESG company Green Energy Innovation to develop the EOS Energy Management Platform, improving energy efficiency and resilience through intelligent energy management.

On the product side, in line with the EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) trends, MEAN WELL has initiated Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) calculations, strengthening environmental data management across the product lifecycle and proactively preparing for future international green supply chain requirements.
